Thanks for the reply, Hannah. You're absolutely right that this is the case for many families but I'm sure you'll agree it's not the only reason. In my town, for example, we have one GS and one GC but only 2/3 of the children transition. Ideally, I'd love to see a system where all schools are Irish medium.
